Abruzzo Wines
From the Peligna valley nestled in the Apennine heights of the province of L'Aquila, over the centuries the vineyards traditionally trained with a tendone (Abruzzo pergola) and then in the new row systems have found increasingly fertile ground on the hills lashed by the salty air of the Adriatic, extending from the velvety roundness of the province of Teramo to the wide expanses of the Chieti area - which currently hosts over 80% of the Abruzzo vineyard surface, including the Frentana area and that of Vasto -, including also the Casauriense area - another place of choice for Abruzzo viticulture - and the Vestino area of the Pescara province, for a total of approximately 33,000 hectares.
