Step into an authentic Abruzzese agriturismo and discover the fascinating story behind Pasta alla Mugnaia, one of the region’s most distinctive traditional pastas, brought to life by two authentic Abruzzese ladies who preserve and share this culinary heritage.

During this 3-hour hands-on culinary experience, you will watch a live demonstration of how Mugnaia pasta is made according to tradition, culminating in its most spectacular feature: the “filo unico” — a single, unbroken strand of pasta.

Starting with nothing more than flour and water, the dough is worked and stretched entirely by hand until it becomes a remarkably long, continuous strand of pasta — sometimes reaching tens of metres in length without ever being cut.

Your experience begins with a welcome toast in the agriturismo, followed by an introduction to the history, traditions and curiosities surrounding Pasta alla Mugnaia, shared directly by the two Abruzzese ladies who keep this tradition alive.

You will then watch the complete preparation process, from making and working the dough to stretching it by hand and creating the characteristic single strand.

After the demonstration, the pasta will be cooked and served with the chosen sauce. You will enjoy a tasting of Pasta alla Mugnaia accompanied by DOC Abruzzo wine and a selection of local appetisers, all in the warm and authentic setting of the agriturismo.

To take a little piece of Abruzzo home with you, you will also receive a printed recipe, so you can try to recreate this traditional pasta in your own kitchen.
